UI/UX Principles

Fitts’s Law is one of the most important and fundamental design laws we frequently ignore.

It describes how long a user takes to hit a target in a graphical user interface (GUI) as a function of size and distance.

Understanding this law helps us design better buttons, forms, lists, and other interactive elements.

Example: Buttons to complete an action should be close to the active elements

Adjusting elements’ size and distance helps the end user to interact faster with the application.
